Scope Check
Rolling out to founders firstYour bids checked against the drawings and specs, so you find the scope that every sub missed, not just the scope one sub missed.
A scope check reads the drawings and specs for a trade, lists everything that trade should cover, and checks each bid against that list.
Leveling can't catch what every sub missed.
Bid leveling compares subs to each other. If one drywall sub leaves out shaftwall and the other two include it, leveling flags it.
But if all three subs skip the acoustic sealant called out in the spec, every bid looks complete next to the others. Nothing gets flagged, and you find out in the field.
A scope check compares every sub to the documents. That's how you catch the items nobody priced, before you carry a number that's short for the whole trade.
Bid leveling alone
- Compares Sub A to Sub B to Sub C
- Catches what one sub included and another didn't
- Blind to scope every sub left out
Leveling + Scope Check
- Compares every sub to the drawings and specs
- Catches items nobody priced
- Every flag comes with its sheet or spec reference
From plan set to checklist.
Upload the documents
Add the drawing set and the project manual as PDFs, alongside the sub bids for the trade.
Checklist built per trade
ArcSpecs reads the sheets and spec sections for that trade and lists what the documents call for.
Every bid checked
Each sub's proposal is checked against the list. Items no one covered rise to the top.
You review the flags
Each flag links to the sheet or spec section it came from, so you can confirm it in seconds.
A second set of eyes on the documents.
Per-trade scope list
What the drawings and specs call for, trade by trade, built from your actual documents.
"Nobody priced" list
The items in the documents that none of your subs covered, so you can chase them or carry a plug.
Sheet and spec links
Every item points back to where it lives in the documents, so checking a flag takes seconds.
About scope checks.
Is a scope check a guarantee?
No. Plan reading is hard and no tool catches everything. It's a second set of eyes that points you to likely gaps with the reference attached. You make the call.
Do I need the full spec book?
It works best with both. The checklist is built from the drawings and the specs, and a lot of scope lives only in the specs.
Which plan includes it?
Scope Check is part of Pro at $199/month. It is rolling out to founder program members first, then to every Pro account. Starter includes Bid Leveling and Sub Clarifications.
Who sees our plans?
Only your company. Drawing sets and specs are stored privately to your account.
